Al SiC, PRMMC Spray formed 6061 Aluminum reinforced with 20 Vol% Silicon Carbide particulate on a Copper substrate. The coating is 100% dense, and can be sprayed into complex shapes.
SiC is completely random and uniform, it also exhibits high specific strength, and extremely high specific stiffness. The Random particle distribution also has an intimate reinforcement to matrix face contact.
